Help!
My husband has spilt an olive oil-based dressing onto his soft tan-coloured leather jacket about 1 week ago. He tried using saddlesoap liquid cleaner on it last night, to no avail. It is unwearable at the moment, and it is his pride and joy, bought during our honeymoon in Italy last year. He is very distressed. Any suggestions PLEASE??? |

Hello angel1,
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, removing stains from leather can be a bit of a challenge, but it can be done!
Try this trick:
Blot the oil stained area with a soft, dry cloth.
Place cornstarch on the soiled area and allow it to sit for 24 hours.
Gently wipe the cornstarch off with a clean, soft cloth.
The cornstarch should draw the stain out by absorbing the moisture.
There are plenty more tips on caring for leather at http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/leather-cleaning.html
Good Luck and let me know how it turns out!
