Windex on Marble Stone and Granite?

Postby Mommas on Mon Aug 13, 2007 3:27 pm

Hello. I'm having a problem. One of my friend has bathrooms with marble stone wall and floorings. The bathrooms have clear glass doors. The concern is Windex dripping down from glass doors onto the marble stone floorings and eventually splashing onto the walls when soneome takes a shower. Eventually, Windex damages the finished look on the marble stone and granite.

Also do you have any suggestion on the same with granite instead of marble stone?

Please help. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Cleaning glass without windex

Postby mrscleannw on Wed Aug 29, 2007 2:34 pm

Hello and Welcome to Mrs. Clean!

I read your problem and would highly suggest to your friend, not to spray Windex around marble. They can however spray Windex directly onto a rag (making sure to cover the nozzle with the rag) and then wipe the glass. You can then rinse with water and use a squeegee to direct any left over down the glass and safely down the drain.

Another option is to purchase a neutral PH cleaner. You can do a search on the web and there are many out there specifically friendly to marble and granite. For other marble cleaning tips, check out our website at http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/cleaning-marble.html

GRANITE AND MARBLE

Postby Infomation 1324 on Thu Jun 19, 2008 4:14 am

hI,
I just read your request as well, I have a home that I clean, which all the bathroom in the home is grantie and marble, with the glass shower doors, I use a grantie cleaner which you can buy at your local home depot, or you may check out a janitorial store which is www.hescoinc.com you can find all your cleaning need.
Now I use to give my marble a shine along with grantie, turtrle car wax, yes it seem a little out don't it, but hey, it shine's and it don't leave residue, or water stains, when cleaning the shower door's yes, spray the window solution on to a rag and clean your window, I have also use funiture polish on my walls in my bathroom and around the walls of my tubs as well as the car wax. I have also use windex on marble and grantie but it tends to leave a flim behind. If the three suggest solution work try it it want harm, I use them all but the one I like the best believe it or not is the funiture cleaner and the wax. I have a site which you can go look at I have posted the grantie pictures yet but I do have pictures before and after of homes I service,
www.myownhomecleaningservice.sampasite.com
go check out the pictures there I am still working on my site, but I do have a few pictures I have posted, I will also add this to my site, feel free and sign the guest book, look at the sinks I have use with my polish
